In this study, the researcher examines the costs and benefits from the improvement in rice production at Bang Toei subdistrict, Mueang district, Chachoengsao province. The data were collected from experimentation plots with traditional rice cultivation applied with SRI rice cultivation of agriculturalists and from the plots using only traditional rice cultivation. Findings showed that traditional rice cultivation applied with SRI rice cultivation yielded higher production. The average cost per kilogram was lower than for traditional rice cultivation. The traditional rice cultivation applied with SRI rice cultivation exhibited a higher rate of return than the traditional rice cultivation.

วัตถุประสงค์ในการศึกษาเรื่องนี้ คือ ศึกษาต้นทุนและผลตอบแทนการปรับระบบการผลิตข้าว ต. บางเตย    อ.เมือง จ. ฉะเชิงเทรา  ในการศึกษาเก็บข้อมูลจากแปลงทดลองที่เพาะปลูกข้าวแบบดั้งเดิมประยุกต์กับการปลูกข้าวแบบประณีต ( SRI )  ของเกษตรกรและแปลงเพาะปลูกแบบดั้งเดิมของเกษตรกร ผลการศึกษาพบว่าในการเพาะปลูกข้าวแบบดังเดิมประยุกต์กับการปลูกข้าวแบบประณีต (SRI) ให้ผลผลิตสูงกว่าและต้นทุนเฉลี่ยต่อกิโลกรัมต่ำกว่าการเพาะปลูกข้าวแบบดั้งเดิม และการเพาะปลูกข้าวแบบดั้งเดิมประยุกต์กับการปลูกข้าวแบบประณีต (SRI) มีอัตราผลตอบแทนเงินลงทุนสูงมากกว่าการเพาะปลูกข้าวแบบดั้งเดิม
