Ramkhamhaeng University is a leader of distance learning and has developed to be the first
e-university in Thailand. This paper reviews and analyses e-learning system with focusing on performance of
Ramkhamhaeng University. The proposed definition of e-learning is using various resources in internet
system to design and manage for development of learning system by encouraging learning in accordance
with needs of instructors and learners, networking learning system for all people at all times and places.
Preparation for e-learning includes understanding of e-learning system, educational philosophy, educational
psychology, educational technology, instructional system design, human resource assignment, budged and
equipment readiness and motivation. The main structure of e-learning composes of learning management
system, contents, infrastructure and peopleware. Learning management system must support registration
system, curriculum and learning content management, virtual classroom, interactions of synchronous,
asynchronous and collaborative systems, assessment and management of right and fee. Clearly, e-learning
is flexibility, convenience, accessibility, and saving time and expenses.

ผู้สอนและผู้เรียน เชื่อมโยงระบบเป็นเครือข่าย ที่สามารถเรียนรู้ได้ทุกที่ทุกเวลา และทุกคน การเตรียมความพร้อมก่อน
การจัดทำ e-learning ได้แก่ ความเข้าใจระบบ ปรัชญาการศึกษา จิตวิทยาการศึกษา เทคโนโลยีการศึกษา การ
ออกแบบการเรียนการสอน การแบ่งหน้าที่ของบุคลากร ความพร้อมด้านการเงิน อุปกรณ์ และแรงจูงใจ องค์ประกอบ
หลักของ e-learning คือระบบบริหารการเรียนการสอน เนื้อหาของบทเรียน ระบบ infrastructure และองค์ประกอบด้าน
บุคคล ระบบบริหารการเรียนการสอนต้องสามารถสนับสนุนด้านระบบการลงทะเบียน จัดการหลักสูตรและสร้าง
บทเรียน จัดการห้องเรียนเสมือนจริง จัดการปฏิสัมพันธ์แบบนัดเวลาเรียนตรงกัน ไม่ตรงกันและร่วมมือกัน การจัดการ
ประเมินผลและการจัดการสิทธิประโยชน์ e-learning จึงมีความยืดหยุ่น สะดวก เข้าถึงได้ง่าย ประหยัดเวลา และ
ค่าใช้จ่าย
