In this research investigation, the researcher considers the performance levels of selected students at Ramkhamhaeng University Demonstration School (RUDS) in accordance with the eight basic principles of morality and ethics that the Office of Basic Education Commission would like to have installed in RUDs students. Compared the factors that affecting the levels of student performance in accordance with these principles and corresponding demographic factors. The sample population consisted of 400 students from the research population of 2,306 students that enrolled in the first semester of the academic year 2011 at RUDS (secondary level) located in Huamak, Bangkapi, Bangkok Metropolis. Extrapolating from the Taro Yamané table at the level of reliability of 95 percent and a corresponding margin of error of the sample population who were proportionately representative of differences in gender and student level with the multistage sampling technique. The instrument of research used to collect data was a tripartite questionnaire. This measuring instrument involved a scale-rating sub-questionnaire at the reliability level of 0.936. Using techniques of descriptive statistics, the researcher analyzed the data collected in terms of frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The techniques of t-test and F-test and Scheffe’s multiple comparison methods were also employed by the researcher. The findings are as follows: The levels of performance in accordance with the eight basic principles of morality and ethics, it was found that in an overall picture the students under study exhibited a high level of performance. The mean level of performance in the aspect of politeness was at the highest level. Next, in descending order, were the aspects of honesty; harmony; cleanliness; helpfulness; being economical; and self-discipline. The mean level of performance at the lowest level was in the aspect of diligence. In comparing the levels of performance of the students under study in accordance with the aforementioned eight basic principles of morality as classified by the demographical factors of gender, religion, personal status, paternal occupation, maternal occupation, familial status, participation in activities promoting morality and ethics, persons influencing the decision to participation in activities promoting morality and ethics at the statistically significant level of 0.05, the researcher found the following : the students under study who differed in the demographical characteristics of gender, level of study, participation in activities promoting morality and ethics, and persons influencing participation in activities promoting morality and ethics exhibited concomitant differences in the levels of performance in accordance with the aforementioned principles in an overall picture. The students under study who differed vis-à-vis the demographical characteristics of parental occupations and familial status failed to evince corresponding differences in the levels of performance in accordance with the aforementioned principles in an overall picture.

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาระดับการปฏิบัติตามคุณธรรม จริยธรรมพื้นฐาน 8 ประการที่สำนักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐานต้องการให้เกิดกับผู้เรียนของนักเรียนโรงเรียนสาธิตมหาวิทยาลัยรามคำแหง และเปรียบเทียบปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อระดับการปฏิบัติตนตามคุณธรรม จริยธรรมพื้นฐาน 8 ประการที่สำนักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐานต้องการให้เกิดขึ้นกับผู้เรียนของนักเรียนโรงเรียนสาธิตมหาวิทยาลัยรามคำแหง โดยจำแนกตามปัจจัยส่วนบุคคล กลุ่มตัวอย่างที่ใช้ในการวิจัย คือ นักเรียนโรงเรียนสาธิตมหาวิทยาลัยรามคำแหง (ฝ่ายมัธยม) จำนวน 400 คน ปีการศึกษา 2554 จากจานวนนักเรียนทั้งหมด 2,306 คน ด้วยตารางทาโร่ ยามาเน่ ที่ระดับความเชื่อมั่น 95% และความคลาดเคลื่อนที่ 0.05 ใช้วิธีการสุ่มตัวอย่างแบบหลายขั้น ตอน (Multi-stage Sampling) เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือแบบสอบถาม มีค่าความเชื่อมั่นเท่ากับ 0.936 ใช้สถิติวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลทั้ง สถิติพรรณนา ได้แก่ ความถี่ ค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน และสถิติอนุมาน ได้แก่สถิติที สถิติเอฟ และทดสอบความแตกต่างค่าเฉลี่ยเป็นรายคู่ด้วยวิธีการเชฟเฟ่ (Scheffe’s method) ผลการวิจัย พบว่า กลุ่มตัวอย่างมีระดับการปฏิบัติตามคุณธรรมจริยธรรม 8 ประการที่สานักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐานต้องการให้เกิดกับผู้เรียนในภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับมาก โดยมีค่าเฉลี่ยด้านความสุภาพสูงที่สุด รองลงมา คือ ด้านความซื่อสัตย์ ด้านความสามัคคี ด้านความสะอาด ด้านความมีน้าใจ ด้านการประหยัด ด้านความมีวินัย และมีค่าเฉลี่ยต่ำสุด คือ ด้านความขยัน เมื่อเปรียบเทียบระดับการปฏิบัติตนตามคุณธรรม จริยธรรมพื้นฐาน 8 ประการที่สานักงานคณะกรรมการการศึกษาขั้นพื้นฐานต้องการให้เกิดขึ้นกับผู้เรียนของกลุ่มตัวอย่างตามปัจจัยส่วนบุคคลที่ระดับนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ 0.05 พบว่า เพศ ระดับชั้น ที่กาลังศึกษา การเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมเสริมสร้างคุณธรรมจริยธรรมของโรงเรียน และบุคคลที่มีอิทธิพลในการร่วมกิจกรรมเสริมสร้างคุณธรรมจริยธรรมต่างกัน มีระดับการปฏิบัติตามคุณธรรม จริยธรรมทั้ง 8 ประการโดยภาพรวม แตกต่างกัน ส่วนนักเรียนที่มีบิดา มารดาประกอบอาชีพและสถานภาพครอบครัวที่ต่างกัน มีระดับการปฏิบัติตามคุณธรรม จริยธรรมทั้ง 8 ประการโดยภาพรวมไม่แตกต่างกัน
